Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer best known for the roles she played on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She graduated with a B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, producer and American actor who is active in theater in film, television, and theatre. Her career began as an actress in theatre before going on to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with critical acclaim but also numerous nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. She began her career as an actor in the year 1995, when she appeared as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In the film industry she is most famous for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her part as a regular in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
