Carice vanHouten is now one of Europe's top actresses. Most likely best known for her role as "Melisandre", she is nominated in 2019 for the Emmy Award. Some other projects include Paul Verhoeven's highly acclaimed Black Book and Bryan Singer's Valkyrie with Tom Cruise and as Melisandre on Game of Thrones. Instinct Temple is a different project, in which she played opposite Mark Strong. The show has been picked up for a new season. The film, in Dutch Love Life, gained her further critical acclaim and broke box office records in her home country, Holland. In her 5th Golden Calf, she won the Netherlands Film Festival for Happy Housewives. The Dutch people voted the film as 'Best Dutch Female Actress Ever'. Other awards include the Best Actress award in Black Butterflies at the Tribeca Film Festival and the Best Performance award for her performance in Instinct during The Le Arcs Film Festival 2019.
