Leona LaurenLeona Louise (born on the 3rd April in 1986) is an British singer-songwriter, actress an activist, actor, and singer. Born in the London Borough of Islington, she studied at her school at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon. Lewis became famous by winning the third season of The X Factor 2006 and won a contract worth PS1,000,000 with Syco music. The winning single and was a cover Kelly Clarkson's song "A Moment like This" was downloaded 50,000 times in just 30 minutes and was ranked at the top of the charts for 4 weeks. Clive Davis, Lewis's American record label J Records signed Lewis a five-album contract in February of 2007. Lewis continued her success by releasing Spirit Her first studio album. The album was platinum 10x certified in the UK. Spirit became one of the top four albums sold in 2000, and was also one of the most popular UK albums. Spirit According to Official Charts Company is the greatest-selling debut album by a female singer. The first single, "Bleeding Love", had a run of seven weeks at the top of the charts at 1 in the UK and was also the top-selling single in the year 2007. In the US it was also the best-selling single of 2008 . Lewis was named the best new Artist by Billboard in the same year. She released Echo in 2009 , and made "I I See You" as the theme song. Lewis' hit single "Collide," was a collaboration between Swedish DJ Avicii and she also dropped Hurt the EP. It was her debut extended performance. The third album she released, Glassheart (2012), brought a brand new direction to her music for Lewis who draws the inspiration of dubstep and electronic music. When she was on the Glassheart Tour in 2013, she began the process of recording to her Christmas debut album. Christmas, with Love came out later in the year. The album's first single, "One More Sleep" came in at the third position on the charts in the UK. The chart's entry made Lewis the first British independent female musician to make it to the top 5 spots, having eight songs. The singer also broke Olivia Newton-John's seven record.
